ELECTION 2015: VOTERS REJECT LIBERALISM

ROMNEY WORDSWORTH – On Tuesday, November 3, 2015, significant elections were held across the country.  Results were a complete rout for the forces of left wing Liberalism.

In Kentucky, Democrats were stunned by TEA party conservative Matt Bevin’s victory in the race for governor.  Elisabeth Pearson, executive director of the Democratic Governors Association, blamed “Trump-mania” for the TEA Party candidate’s upset 53%-44% win over Democrat Jack Conway.  “Unfortunately, he ran into the unexpected headwinds of Trump-mania, losing to an outsider candidate in the year of the outsider” opined Pearson.

Well, if “Trump-mania” is such a potent force that it can effect a tangential governor’s race in Kentucky for a candidate that Donald Trump has never explicitly campaigned for, then what does this mean for the Clinton campaign in next year’s presidential election if Trump is the nominee?  Oh, and by the way, wasn’t it the Left Stream Media that told us that the TEA party was dead?

Polling had the Democrat Conway up by 5 points on the eve of the election.  Either there are serious flaws in polling techniques, or this was the year that the major polling organizations decided to throw away their credibility in a last ditch attempt to influence the vote.  In a curious coincidence, national polling is putting every Republican front running candidate ahead of Hillary Clinton in head to head match ups, except for Donald Trump.  Hmmmm, could this be another deception intended to influence the Republican primary voters to back another candidate besides The Donald?

There was another significant election result out of Kentucky.  Remember Kim Davis?  She is the Rowan County Clerk in Kentucky who went to jail rather than obey a court order compelling her to issue marriage licenses to homosexuals.  Notice I refer to her as County Clerk in the present tense.  She handily won re-election!!  This is precisely what the homosexual mafia tried to prevent by getting her jailed.  Their worst nightmare is a rising tide of elected officials who are supported by the voters in resisting their radical social agenda that they are ramming down our throats through activist judges.

In Virginia, voters rejected a ballot initiative for more gun control, bankrolled in the tens of millions by Michael Bloomberg and George Soros.  After seven years of Barack Obama, banning the Confederate Battle Flag, and getting Clintonista Terry MacAuliffe elected as governor of Virginia, Democrats were starting to think they owned the state, and could start remaking it into another North East liberal run state, like New York or Rhode Island.  Virginia voters said:  Hell No!

The significance of this defeat cannot be overstated.  Remember that Hillary Clinton is running on a campaign promise of Australia style gun confiscation.  I don’t understand how anyone could think that running against the Second Amendment could be a winner in America.  I guess that in the Salons of Chappaqua, nobody brings up the fact that gun owners in Connecticut and New York have largely refused to comply with gun registration edicts in those supposedly hard core left liberal states.  If they can’t sell gun registration in New England, the Clinton campaign is absolutely doomed trying to sell gun confiscation across America.

Unlike Hillary Clinton, the numbers on gun sales don’t lie.  Gun sales nationally have set a record for six months in a row this year.  This is no doubt due to the Greatest Gun Salesman in the World:  Barack Obama.  The FBI’s National Instant Background Check System processed 1,976,759 firearms related checks in October. That is a 373,290 increase in checks over last year and a new record for the month.  This is an automatic background check required by law every time a gun dealer sells a gun, and it is primarily for new gun sales.  It is the most reliable data point on gun sales short of having the sales receipts of every gun dealer in the country.  So far in 2015 the FBI has performed 17,584,346 firearms related checks. Currently, 2015 is on pace to beat 2013’s record 21,009,273 checks.

So, just to recap, in an election year where the Democrats are running on gun confiscation, Americans are buying nearly 2 million guns per month!

In Houston, Texas, the electorate voted for sanity and rejected enabling mental illness.  This was the rejection of a radical LGBT law to open up women’s bathrooms to men who say they “identify as women”, and vice-versa.  Houston’s radical lesbian Mayor had unlawfully tried to keep this voter initiative off the ballot, even to the point of issuing subpoenas against local Pastors demanding to know the content of their sermons.

As Camille Paglia wrote this week, sexual confusion and deviancy is one of the last symptoms exhibited by a civilization before its demise.  Thank you, Houston voters, for putting off our extinction for just a bit longer.  I know you voted the way you did because you wanted to protect your daughters from sexual perverts, but Western Civilization appreciates your effort all the same.

In the final item of our election round up, the voters in San Francisco fired their Sheriff who had released the illegal alien who killed Kate Steinle.  When you’ve lost the voters of San Francisco in the campaign for unrestricted immigration, you have truly lost the country and lost the campaign altogether.

Over at Trump Tower in New York City, The Donald is adding another notch to his belt.  The Left is playing into his hands perfectly, using foul mouthed children to call him racist, while Barack Obama signs legislation to let 3.5 million Mexican college graduates into America—because 50% of American college grads not being able to find work is apparently not high enough.  Europe’s leaders, meanwhile, continue to destroy their countries by welcoming violent Muslim Jihadis with open arms, as a salutary lesson to America’s voters of what will happen to us if we let the Liberals do the same thing here.

HERE IS A LIST OF EVERY SINGLE TIME OBAMA COMMITTED AN IMPEACHABLE OFFENSE THAT DEMS & MEDIA COVERED UP “Impeach!” It’s been more than eight years since Democrats uttered that word – long enough for anyone to wonder if it was still in their vocabulary, considering the deafening silence through the dozens of serious scandals during President Obama’s administration – but now that President Trump is the man in the White House, it’s back with a vengeance. . . Democrats everywhere are wildly slinging the “I” word, hoping to nail Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors after the New York Times claimed a memo written by former FBI Director James Comey said the president urged him to end the federal investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn. . . Some members of Congress are getting in on the action. They include Reps. Maxine Water, D-Calif., and Al Green, D-Texas. Even a Republican, Rep. Justin Amash, claimed Wednesday there are grounds to impeach President Trump. House Oversign Committee Chair Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, asked for the alleged Comey memo and other documents. Chaffetz tweeted that he is prepared to subpoena the information. And Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., invoked “Watergate.” . . Now the Democratic Party is reportedly poll testing impeachment as a 2018 election issue. More than 1 million people signed a petition calling on Congress to impeach Trump. . . Wasting no time Wednesday, the mainstream media sprang into action, enthusiastically echoing the left’s impeachment calls. MSNBC launched a Watergate ad implying Trump is America’s new Richard Nixon. . . “Watergate. We know its name because there were reporters who never stopped asking questions,” says MSNBC host Chris Hayes, who hinted that Trump is next on the impeachment chopping block. “Now, who knows where the questions will take us. But I know this: I’m not going to stop asking them.” . . Meanwhile, some overzealous members of the left plastered fliers around Washington, D.C., demanding all White House staffers resign Wednesday. . . The posters read: “If you work for this White House you are complicit in hate-mongering, lies, corrupt taking of Americans’ tax money via self-dealing and emoluments, and quite possibly federal crimes and treason. Also, any wars will be on your soul. … Resign now.” . . But constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley, who voted for President Obama, warned “impeachment” enthusiasts not to get ahead of themselves with President Trump. Why? . . At this time, there’s no evidence Trump actually committed a crime. . . “The criminal code demands more than what Comey reportedly describes in his memo,” Turley wrote in a May 17 opinion piece posted at the Hill. Turley explained: . . For the first time, the Comey memo pushes the litany of controversies surrounding Trump into the scope of the United States criminal code. . . However, if this is food for obstruction of justice, it is still an awfully thin soup. Some commentators seem to be alleging criminal conduct in office or calling for impeachment before Trump completed the words of his inaugural oath of office. Not surprising, within minutes of the New York Times report, the response was a chorus of breathless “gotcha” announcements. But this memo is neither the Pentagon Papers nor the Watergate tapes. Indeed, it raises as many questions for Comey as it does Trump in terms of the alleged underlying conduct. . . A good place to start would be with the federal law, specifically 18 U.S.C. 1503. The criminal code demands more than what Comey reportedly describes in his memo. There are dozens of different variations of obstruction charges ranging from threatening witnesses to influencing jurors. None would fit this case. That leaves the omnibus provision on attempts to interfere with the “due administration of justice.” . . However, that still leaves the need to show that the effort was to influence “corruptly” when Trump could say that he did little but express concern for a longtime associate. The term “corruptly” is actually defined differently under the various obstruction provisions, but it often involves a showing that someone acted “with the intent to secure an unlawful benefit for oneself or another.” Encouraging leniency or advocating for an associate is improper but not necessarily seeking an unlawful benefit for him. . . -Obama’s Iran nuke deal -Obama knew about Hillary’s private email server -Obama IRS targets conservatives -Obama’s DOJ spies on AP reporters -Obamacare & Obama’s false promises -Illegal-alien amnesty by executive order -Benghazi-gate -Operation Fast & Furious -5 Taliban leaders for Bergdahl -Extortion 17 -‘Recess ‘ appointments – when Senate was in session -Appointment of ‘czars’ without Senate approval -Suing Arizona for enforcing federal law -Refusal to defend Defense of Marriage Act -Illegally conducting war against Libya -NSA: Spying on Americans -Muslim Brotherhood ties -Miriam Carey -Birth certificate -Executive orders -Solyndra and the lost $535 million -Egypt -Cap & Trade: When in doubt, bypass Congress -Refusal to prosecute New Black Panthers -Obama’s U.S. citizen ‘hit list’
